About Us

Botho University (BU) was established in 1997 in Botswana and has rapidly evolved over the years to become a leading multi-disciplinary tertiary education provider spread across 5 countries in Africa, namely Lesotho, Botswana Eswatini, Namibia, and Ghana, with an additional Online Learning Campus. All programs offered by Botho University are approved by the respective regulatory bodies in all countries of operation. All programmes offered by Botho University in Lesotho  are approved by the Council of Higher Education (CHE). The university is in the final stages of construction of its state of the art multi-million maloti campus in Lesotho which will be open early 2025. Botho University currently offers qualifications from Certificate to Master’s degree levels, with established plans for Doctoral programs in the foreseeable future. The university has over 4500 students and nearly 300 staff members. In Lesotho, Botho University currently offers academic programmes under three faculties namely:

• Faculty of Business & Accounting
• Faculty of Engineering and Technology
• Faculty of Health and Education
